6:15 pmhow it works

three steps, then you’re in.

step 01

pick a circle

Head to discover and browse the upcoming circles: we have case discussions, expert-led workshops, book and journal clubs and much more.

step 02

request a chair

Register for a circle you like. Most circles are free, but we also have some paid circles.

step 03

show up

Once you’re approved, the joining link lands in your email. For a paid circle, the payment link arrives first, followed by the link to join.

6:45 pmtalk shop

bring the work you can’t put down.

01
case discussion

case nights

Bring the case that keeps following you home and think it through with peers who know exactly what that weight feels like. You’ll explore where you feel stuck, what this client stirs up in you, and how to keep the relationship moving.

✦Leave every identifier at the door. Sharing identifying client information gets you removed from the community, with no second chances. This is peer perspective, not supervision and not therapy.
02
co-working

co-working hours

Log on, say what you’re clearing, and get on with it. Progress notes, reports, the treatment plan you’ve reopened four times: it all moves faster with company on screen.

Cameras are optional. The breaks are for a quick chat, a swapped resource or an honest “is it just me?” with peers in other time zones.

03
no agenda

off-duty chats

Loose conversations about whatever came up in a circle and deserved more time: pricing guilt, explaining your job at family dinners, how you actually unwind. Members suggest the topics.

There’s no agenda and no slides. You don’t have to say anything wise.

IFS · EMDR · DBT · somatic · more

IFS, EMDR, DBT, somatic work, psychodynamic thinking: pick an approach and go deeper with practitioners who use it. Bring your questions, including the basic ones you’d never ask in a training room.

Nobody ranks modalities or hands out grades. It’s parts work, minus the pop quiz. These are peer conversations, not accredited training.

You know something the rest of the room doesn’t, whether it’s play therapy, writing a decent intake form or surviving your first year in private practice. Pitch your circle to the Unchaos team by email, then run it your way.

Want to rehearse a workshop before it goes public? Try it here first and get honest, kind feedback from people who’d actually sign up.

03

book club

bring your own book

Bring whatever you’re reading right now, whether it’s a novel, a memoir or a cookbook, and tell the room why it’s worth their time (or why it isn’t). Read as a person, not a clinician.

There’s no set book and no homework. Half-finished counts, and you’ll leave with a longer reading list than you arrived with.

the referral table

Sometimes the most ethical move is knowing who to send a client to. Get to know practitioners across modalities, specialisms and countries, so “I know someone good” is actually true.

No directory listings and no cold intros. Unchaos doesn’t promise referrals. It gives you colleagues you’d trust to make one.

Get paired with another member for regular check-ins on whatever you’re working towards: a new specialism, a boundary you keep moving, the website you’ve been “about to launch” for a year.

Some pairs will keep it to one call a month, while others message between sessions. You set the rhythm.

last updated 16 October 2026

Confidentiality is at the heart of the work you do, and it’s at the heart of how Unchaos handles your information too. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it and the choices you have.

the short version

We collect only what’s needed to run the community. We never sell your information. Client information never belongs here. You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing support@unchaosliving.com.

01Who is responsible for your information

Unchaos Living is an independent, global virtual community for mental health practitioners. It is not yet a registered business, so it has no company number or registered address. The Unchaos team is responsible for the personal information described in this policy, and you can contact us about anything here at support@unchaosliving.com. We’ll update this section if Unchaos becomes a registered business.

02The information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the community:

  • Account details: your name, email address, profession or training stage, country and time zone.
  • Verification details: information about your qualifications, registration or training, if we ask you to confirm them.
  • Profile information you choose to share: such as your interests, preferred circles or your answers to our circle-matching quiz.
  • Participation: which circles, workshops and sessions you book or attend.
  • Messages: what you send us, including reports and feedback.
  • Payment information: when you pay for a circle, payment is handled by Luma or Buy Me a Coffee, or arranged directly with the circle’s host. Unchaos never sees or stores your full card details.
  • Technical information: such as your device, browser and how you use the website, collected through your browser (see section 09).

03Information we never want

Please never share information that could identify a client. Unchaos is not designed to hold client data. If we find any, we delete it, and sharing it breaks our Terms of Use and House Rules.

We also ask you not to share sensitive details about your own health unless you choose to. If you do share something personal in a circle, it is shared with the members present, not stored by Unchaos, because we do not record circles.

04How we use your information

  • to create and manage your account and membership;
  • to show you upcoming peer circles for therapists, workshops and interactive sessions, and suggest ones that fit you;
  • to send you booking confirmations, reminders and service messages;
  • to send you newsletters and updates, if you’ve agreed to receive them (you can unsubscribe at any time);
  • to keep the community safe, including reviewing reports and enforcing the House Rules;
  • to understand how Unchaos is used so we can improve it;
  • to meet our legal obligations.

05Our legal reasons for using it

Where data protection laws such as the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR or India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 apply, we rely on: the agreement between us when you join (to provide the community); your consent (for marketing emails and non-essential cookies, which you can withdraw at any time); our legitimate interests (to keep the community safe and improve it, balanced against your rights); and legal obligations.

06Who we share it with

We never sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers who help us run Unchaos: Netlify (website hosting), Luma (circle listings, registration and payments), Buy Me a Coffee (payments), the video call service used for each circle and our email provider. Each handles your information under its own terms and privacy policy;
  • Hosts and other members, who see your name and the profile details you choose to share in the circles you join. If you pay a host directly, they also receive the details needed for that payment;
  • Authorities or advisers, where the law requires it or to protect the safety of members.

07International transfers

Unchaos is a global community, so your information may be processed in countries other than your own. When that happens, we use appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to keep it protected.

08How long we keep it

We keep your account information while you’re a member and for 12 months after you leave, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. Records of reports and safety decisions may be kept for longer where needed to protect the community. When we no longer need your information, we delete or anonymise it.

09Cookies

The Unchaos website doesn’t use advertising or analytics cookies. It uses your browser’s local storage for one small convenience: remembering which welcome screen you saw last, so you see a different one next time. Nothing personal is stored.

Some parts of the site come from other services, such as Luma registration pages and Buy Me a Coffee checkout. Those services may set their own cookies when you use them, as described in their privacy policies. You can block or delete cookies and stored data at any time in your browser settings. If we ever add analytics or other non-essential cookies, we’ll ask for your consent first and add a way to change your choices here.

10Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the information we hold about you;
  • correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
  • delete your information;
  • stop or limit how we use it, or object to a particular use;
  • send your information to you or another service in a usable format;
  • withdraw your consent, where we rely on it.

To use any of these rights, email support@unchaosliving.com. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

11Keeping it secure

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, and we limit access to people who need it to run Unchaos. No system is completely secure, so if we ever become aware of a breach that affects you, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

12Age

Unchaos is for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

13Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Unchaos grows. If we make a significant change, we’ll tell you by email or on the website.

terms of use, in plain English.

last updated 16 October 2026

These are the terms that keep Unchaos fair and trustworthy for everyone in it. They’re written to be read, not skimmed past, so please take five minutes with them before you join.

the short version

Unchaos is peer support, not supervision, therapy or a crisis service. Never share identifying client information. Treat other members with respect, and keep what’s said in a circle inside the circle. You own what you share, and you can leave at any time.

01Who we are and what you’re agreeing to

Unchaos Living (“Unchaos”, “we”, “us”) is a global virtual community for mental health practitioners. It is run independently and is not yet a registered business, so it has no registered address. Unchaos launches publicly in November 2026, and you can reach us at support@unchaosliving.com.

These Terms of Use apply whenever you visit the Unchaos website, create an account, book or attend a circle, workshop or interactive session, or take part in any Unchaos space. By doing any of these, you agree to these Terms, our House Rules and our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Unchaos.

02Who can join

Unchaos is for mental health practitioners, including clinical, counselling and educational psychologists, psychotherapists, counsellors and clinical social workers, as well as students and trainees in these fields.

To join, you must be at least 18 years old and give us accurate information about yourself and your training. We may ask you to confirm your qualifications, registration or training status, and we may decline or end a membership if we can’t verify it.

03What Unchaos is, and what it isn’t

Unchaos offers peer circles for therapists, case discussions, workshops for therapists, interactive sessions, book clubs, co-working and challenges. Everything here is peer support for therapists: shared perspective from colleagues who understand the work.

Unchaos is not:

  • clinical supervision, and attending does not count towards supervision requirements unless we say so in writing;
  • therapy or counselling for members;
  • a crisis or emergency service;
  • professional, legal or clinical advice, or a substitute for your professional body’s guidance;
  • an accredited training provider, unless a specific session clearly states otherwise.

You stay fully responsible for your own clinical decisions and for meeting the ethical code, registration rules and laws that apply to your practice. If you or a client are in crisis, contact your supervisor, local emergency services or a crisis line straight away.

04Client confidentiality

You must never share information that could identify a client, including names, initials, locations, workplaces, dates, or any combination of details that could point to a real person. This applies to spoken discussion, chat, messages, uploads and anything else you share on Unchaos.

Keeping client information confidential is your responsibility under your own professional obligations. If you share identifying client information, we will remove it and end your membership immediately. Where the law requires it, we may also cooperate with the relevant authorities.

05How members treat each other

Everyone who uses Unchaos must follow the House Rules. In particular, you agree not to:

  • record, screenshot or share circle discussions, or repeat another member’s story without their permission;
  • harass, discriminate against or demean anyone;
  • promote products, courses or services, recruit clients, or send members unsolicited offers;
  • pretend to be someone else or misrepresent your qualifications;
  • share anything unlawful, or anything you don’t have the right to share;
  • try to disrupt, scrape, hack or misuse the website or any Unchaos space.

06Your content

You own what you post, write or share on Unchaos. By sharing it, you give Unchaos permission to host, store and display it within the community so the service can work. This permission ends when you delete the content or close your account, except where others have already responded to it or we need to keep it for legal or safety reasons.

We may remove any content that breaks these Terms or the House Rules.

07Unchaos content and session materials

The Unchaos name, logo, website, written content, and materials shared in workshops and sessions belong to Unchaos or to the host who created them. You may use session materials for your own professional learning, but please don’t copy, sell or republish them without permission.

08Hosting a circle

Members can pitch a circle or collaboration by emailing support@unchaosliving.com, and the Unchaos team will reply within 48 hours. If your idea goes ahead, you decide its topic, format and how it runs, and you may be featured on Unchaos. Hosts follow these Terms and the House Rules, help keep their circle to them, and are responsible for the accuracy of what they present.

Hosting does not make you an employee of Unchaos. Any payment or revenue arrangements for hosts will be agreed with you separately in writing.

09Membership, fees and cancellation

Membership. Paid membership plans are coming soon. Before they launch, we’ll update these Terms with the price, billing period, renewal and cancellation details.

Paid circles. Some circles are paid. Each circle’s listing shows whether it is free or paid. For a paid circle, the host emails you a payment link once your request is approved, and the joining link follows after payment. Payment is taken through Luma or Buy Me a Coffee, or in some cases paid directly to the host. Cancellations and refunds follow what the circle’s listing says. Where you pay a host directly, any refund is arranged between you and the host. If something goes wrong with a payment, email support@unchaosliving.com and we’ll help where we can.

You can stop using Unchaos and close your account at any time by writing to support@unchaosliving.com.

10Suspension and removal

We may suspend or end your access to Unchaos if you break these Terms or the House Rules, or if we reasonably believe your participation puts other members at risk. Sharing identifying client information leads to immediate removal. In other cases, we will usually explain the problem first, unless that isn’t appropriate.

11Third-party tools

Some parts of Unchaos run on services provided by other companies, including Netlify for website hosting, Luma for circle listings and registration, Buy Me a Coffee for payments, and video call and email services. Your use of those services is also covered by their own terms and privacy policies.

12Our responsibility to you

We work hard to keep Unchaos useful, safe and available, but we provide it “as is” and can’t promise it will always be uninterrupted or error free. Perspectives shared in circles come from peers, not from Unchaos, and we are not responsible for decisions you make based on them.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of Unchaos. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited.

13Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Unchaos grows. If we make a significant change, we’ll tell you by email or on the website before it takes effect. If you keep using Unchaos after that, you accept the updated Terms.

14Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India will handle any disputes, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
